So... let's take a look at my 30 Boxes in regards to my work schedule for the next few weeks:

• 8 days of work in a row, one job each day.
  
  
• A day of work with both jobs.


• 3 more days of working one job or the other. So 13 days in a row so far (including today).


• Thanksgiving ( a day off! Woot!)

Sharper Image called. I now have two jobs. SI said they can give me 40 hours a week in December. I start Friday at 10 AM.

Tonight I will be doing that book preview thing in S.F. for Books Inc., then training on the 15th, and my first regular day there on the 16th.

So I went down to Stanford Shopping Center and went into my new place of employment, Books Inc. I filled out some paperwork, copied the schedule, and it was all good - except at one point I saw a certain name on something up on the wall: niveK's. I asked the manager about him, and she assured me that he was let go due to "issues with him". That ( Read more... )

Just a few minutes ago I realized there were a few messages on the answering machine. The first was old, which I deleted. The second had apparently come while I was finishing my interview at Sharper Image yesterday. It was from the manager of Books Inc., which I had applied to earlier that day. Wow. The interview at Sharper Image went so well I am surprised I'm not still there watching a training video. As it is the assistant manager said I pretty much have the job as long as I pass the background check.
